Claycrete was first developed in 1995 by Brian Jackman in Perth, Western Australia. The chemical principles for the ionic stabilization of clay were well established and Brian, the trademark owner, refined the methodology changing clay from a problem to a very cost effective construction solution.

Claycrete II™ was developed in 1996 to meet the demand for fast and effective road stabilization in tropical and highly humid environments. It is certified by the world body SGS as non harmful and classified as not hazardous to transport; therefore, Claycrete II™ is not a dangerous good and can be used in protected natural environments.
